Niklaus is the son of Esther Mikaelson and Ansel (Surname unknown), and is the step-son of Mikael. He was born in a small village that eventually became Mystic Falls. Klaus is the maternal half brother of Elijah Mikaelson, Rebekah Mikaelson, Freya Mikaelson, Finn Mikaelson, Kol Mikaelson and Henrik Mikaelson. He is also an uncle to his unnamed nephew. He is the father of Hope Mikaelson and the mum of Hope Mikaelson is Hayley Marshall. Klaus is also the adopted father of Marcel Gerard.
For over a thousand years, Klaus had been trying to break a curse that was placed on him. Niklaus created the myth that the sun and the moon curse in order to find the moonstone and the Petrova Doppelganger, both of which was needed to break the curse. His goal was to liberate his werewolf side so that he could sire his own super species of the vampire werewolf hybrids.
In 1492, Klaus got the chance to break his curse when he met Katerina Petrova, the final piece to break the curse. However, Katerina manged to foil his plan to use her in the sacrifice by turning her into a vampire. For the next 500 years, he searched for a way to break the curse without the Doppelganger. He did this by forcing the generations of witches to help him. During his search of breaking the curse, He hunted down his family and neutalized them. He didnt just hunt down his family, He also hunted down Katerina who had escaped him and stolen his moonstone. Klaus was also on the run from his step-father, because he had an abusive childhood.
During the 1920's, Niklaus had formed a strong bond and a brotherly relationship with Stefan. After a while he was with Stefan and Rebekah he was still on the run from his step father, and he was on the run until 2010 when he came back to Mystic Falls where he met with the vampire, who was named Caroline Forbes, and he started to care about her. Eventually Klaus started falling in love with her and tried to win her love, but at the time his hybrid Tyler Lockwood was with her, after a long time they are now friends.
In New Orleans, Klaus had a father/son bond relationship with Marcel who he works with in ruling New Orleans until he discovered his treachery for bringing Mikael to New Orleans. They soon reformed their friendship when Marcel saves his daughter. Now they work together to bring down their enemies. Klaus also truely cares about the bartender called Camille O'Connell, whom he has a close relationship with.
He is the member of the Mikaelson Family, Also a member of an unknown family of werewolves. Klaus is also connected to the Labonair Family, a royal werewolf via his daughter, also a member of the North East Atlantic Pack.

Elijah Mikaelson was the third-born of Mikael and Esther's Children, He was born in an area of the New World that would become Mystic Falls, Virginia. His parents fled from Europe, with his older brother, Finn, after the death of his older sister, Freya. The first of Mikael and Esther's Children to be born in the New World, Elijah was followed by three brothers, Niklaus, Kol and Henrik, and a sister, called Rebekah.
When Mikaels first born had passed he had hardened and proved to be a strict father, who was feared by all of his children. Elijah had a close relationship with his mother, who had mentioned to him that, when she was pregnant with him, she would have Freya sing to him. This was one of the few times Esther had spoken of her lost daughter. Elijah was also very close to his siblings, except Finn, who had never recovered from loosing Freya and had never taken to his new siblings as a result. Elijah was closer to Niklaus and Rebekah, his younger brother would carve figurines and statuettes for his brother and sister.
While Mikael was hard on all of his children, he was hardest on Niklaus because Mikael saw Niklaus as a weak person. Once, when Elijah took his younger brother hunting and complimeted him of the improvement on his aim, Mikael had arrived and and he started beating Niklaus to 'strengthen' him, threating Elijah with violence in case he tried to intervene. Elijah carried guilt for the rest of his life for not stopping his father's beatings against his brother. Mikael nealy beat Niklaus to death in a rage and only stopped when both Elijah and Rebekah tried to stop him. That night while Mikael slept, Rebekah had tried to kill him to end the abuse of Niklaus but Elijah stopped her and he considered on killing his father himself.
They lived among werewolves for about twenty years and during the full moon, all the humans would simply hide in the underground caves while the werewolves had turned. During Elijah's early life, He and Niklaus both fell in love with a girl called Tatia who lived in their village. All the villagers wanted to be Tatia's suitors including Klaus and Elijah. They both argued with each other and fought each other because they both wanted her to themselves. Tatia chose Elijah to be her next husband when the time came.
One morning after a full moon, Klaus had came out of the woods, holding his little brother Henrik who was dead in his arms. Elijah came running to join his mother as she grieved Henrik's death. To ensure that the rest of her children would survive, Esther used a spell to make her children immortal. Mikael gave his children wine laced with Tatia's blood. Then he stabbed Elijah and his siblings through their hearts and made them drink some human blood. After becoming a vampire, Elijah, along with his family, all made sure that the white oak tree, their one true weakness, would be destroyed.

Rebekah Mikaelson is a formerly original vampire and she is the youngest daughter of Esther Mikaelson and Mikael. She is the younger sister of Freya Mikaelson, Finn Mikaelson, Elijah Mikaelson, Niklauus Mikaelson and Kol Mikaelson, she is the eldest sister of Hernik Mikaelson, and she is an aunt of an unnamed nephew and Klaus' child with Hayley Marshall, Hope Mikaelson.
Throughout Rebekah's millennia-long life, her actions and personality has been heavily inflluenced by her relationship with Klaus and her desire to live a normal, human life. In the 12th century, she was in love with a vampire hunter called Alexander who was a member of The Brotherhood Of Five. Late 19th century and early 20th century, she was in a relationship with Klaus' protege who was called Marcel Gerard while her and her family lived in New Orleans. After Rebekah had fled New Orleans with Niklaus to escape her father Mikael, she was briefly in a relationship with Stefan Salvatore in Chicacgo during the early 1920s, because she had chose Stefan over her half-brother, Klaus had daggered her for ninety years in punishment for perceived betrayal. In 2010 once she had been undaggered, she had several brief flings with Stefan and Damon Salvatore before she found herself in a relationship with a human called Matt Donovan. Not long afterwards, she followed her brothers Klaus and Elijah back to New Orleans, where once again they settled as a family, which had allowed her the opportunity to rekindle her relationship with Marcel.
She was finally given her freedom by her brother Niklaus and left the city to fulfill her desires at a normal life. However, she returned to become her niece Hope's guardian after Klaus and Hayley faked her death for her own safety. After Rebekah's mother and her brothers Finn and Kol was resurrected, Esther began tracking all Rebekah's movements, and forced her to join her family in New Orleans to plan the best way to protect Hope from the new threats she would face.
Rebekah came up with a plan which was to take down her mother, to do this it involved her pretending to take her offer to possess the body of a mortal and rejoin her mother and brothers Finn and Kol. Because of a trick that was played on Kol in retalliation for Rebekah slighting him in 1914, Her spirit was unknowingly placed in the body of a witch who was named Eva Sinclair, who was imprisoned in the Fauline Cottage Asylum due to her crimes against children of the New Orleans Covens. She then was trapped in the asylum until her sister Freya awakened from her century-long and freed them both with her magic.
After serving her body host's connection to the eight teenage witches under Vincent's instructions, Rebekah had commited suicide in her mortal body in order to keep a compelled Marcel from ending her life because of Klaus's orders. The death of her host body had sent her spirit back to her true form.

Finn is the son of Esther Mikaelson and Mikael. He is the brother of Freya Mikaelson, Rebekah Mikaelson, Kol Mikaelson, Elijah Mikaelson and Henrik Mikaelson. He is also the half-brother of Niklaus Mikaelson and the uncle of Hope Mikaelson and an Unnamed nephew.
Out of all his siblings, Finn has the closest relationship with his mother. Finn is loyal to his mother and believes her intentions are for the best, as he was willing to sacrifice himself to kill Klaus. His behaviour and attitude is what his siblings dislike about him the most.
Finn is the second child who was born alongside his older sister Freya Mikaelson. After Freya was taken from them, he moved to the new world with his parents. There he had just gained more siblings and with his family they lived in peace with the other members of the village, some of whom was werewolves. Each month they hid during the full moon so that they would not be hurt by the transforming of the wolves. During Finn's childhood, he and his siblings played together many times and had fun with each other, showing their love for eachother.
When his younger half-brother Klaus had never turned up for dinner one day, Esther questioned her children about where he was. While Elijah refused to tell her, Finn gladly told his mother of Klaus's location. Esther talked with little Niklaus out in the woods and Finn watched them with a smile. A little while later, Finn had retrieved a starling necklace which Esther had given Klaus which means Klaus must have lost it. Esther made Klaus thank Finn. When Finn's brother Henrik was killed in an incident during the full moon after he and Klaus had sneaked out to see the wolves, their father Mikael had Esther turn them into a group of vampires (by using the imortality spell) to prevent the tradgedy from happening again.
However, the object had granted their imortality could also take it away, which was the ancient white oak tree. To prevent anyone from making a stake from the tree, the family burnt the tree to the ground. However, they would have other weaknesses which includes the flowers that grew at the base of the tree, a silver dagger dipped in the ashes of the tree that could neutralize them temporily and they would always have a constant desire for human blood.
During one feed, Klaus ended up killing a human which ended up triggering a werewolf curse he carried, which revealed that Esther had an affair with a werewolf. Mikael killed his wife's lover and family, it triggered the war between their races that would last centuries.
Esther had placed a curse on Klaus to prevent him from becoming a true hybird, as this would make him invulnerable to what harms both vampires and werewolves. In revenge, Klaus attacked their mother, killing her for what he had considered betrayal and he blamed it on their father. Hundred years later, Finn eventually met Sage and had fell in love with her, to the point of giving into siring her as a vampire, something he considers morally wrong, which would turn out to be true only indirectly as Sage would go on to become ruthless and hedonistic as a vampire, even corrupting Damon Salvatore.

Hayley is the first mother of the first naturally born hybird, Hope Mikaelson, the daughter she had with the Original Hybird, Niklaus Mikaelson. Also Hayley is the wife of Jackson Kenner and the Queen of the Crescent Wolf pack.
Hayley was born as Andrea Labonair in New Orleans into one of the two ruling families of the crescent wolf clan, but her mother and father was killed and Marcel Gerard was able to get her out of town after her parents' death. She was adopted by a human family but they had kicked her out after her first kill transformation on a full moon. After been kicked out she travelled the country, met and began to work with Atticus Shane, who had promised her a reunion with her late parents. Hayley then met and helped Tyler Lockwood to break the sire bond to Klaus. However, he kept his real identity from her. She later came to Mystic Falls looking for Tyler and she began to help him break the sire bonds of some of Klaus' other hybirds in order to sacrifice them. After this revelation, she fled town and began working with Katherine Pierce. However, Katherine had sent Will to kill Hayley when she had stopped finding her useful. Klaus had saved her and they then became allies, sleeping together on a drunken whim. He was interested to learn that she had a birthmark which also belonged to a particular bloodline of werewolves he had met before. This leads Hayley to leave for New Orleans to investigate her origins. While she was there, she met Jane-Anne and Sophie Deveraux, who had detected her pregnancy with Klaus' daughter.
Hayley also became close to the original family. She formed a strong relationship with Rebekah, pursing her love-hate relationship with Klaus and beginning a kind of romance with Elijah. Hayley then gave birth to a baby girl, Hope, and was killed by Monique Deveraux as she held her daughter for the first time, because the New Orleans Coven wanted to sacrifice Hope, following Hope's paternal Grandmother, Esther, orders. However due to Hope's' blood running through her mother's veins this made Hayley a hybird and she succeeded to kill the witches and to take her baby back. In order to keep a promise to herself and her baby, she decided to give Hope temporarily to her Aunt Rebekah, to keep her safe. After taking revenge for her daughter, she desperatly tried to find a way to bring Hope back by regaining her family power over the werewolves. After six months apart, she was finally reunited with Hope.
Unfortunatly, when Hayley tried to take her daughter, Hope, away from Klaus, which failed badly, Klaus had took his daughter back, and had Dahlia place her under the Crescent Curse as a punishment for trying to take Hope away from him.

Davina is the adoptive daughter of Marcel Gerard. She has become the new regent of the nine covens of New Orleans, replacing the deceased Josephine LaRue.
Davina has become the main subject of a power struggle between the witches, vampires and werewolves of New Orleans, Marcel had heard about The Harvest ritual from sophie. Marcel and Sophie disagreed with the ritual, this was due to the fact that the resurrection of the four teenage girls sacrificed was not gaurenteed, so therefore Marcel intervened in the ritual just in time to rescue Davina, who was the only Harvest girl who had yet to be sacrificed. Because the ritual did not get completed, Davina had the energy of three other witches who had been sacrificed before her, as well as that of the ancestors of the witch community that was flowing through her. This made Davina powerful that is became increasingly difficult for Davina to control all the magic within her. Marcel used her power, as well as her anger towards the witches, to his advantage and Davina's immense power afforded her the ability to sense when any of the French Quater Coven used magic, and she used this ability to help Marcel moniter and restrict the use of magic in the Quater.
It was Sophie, who initially did not believe in The Harvest and told Marcel with the intention of convincing him to intervene, who had created the plan that led to finding and sacrificing Davina in order to complete the Harvest. Her change in attitude regarding the witchcraft and the faith involved in ancestral magic which came after her niece, Monique Deveraux, who was also sacrificed in the Harvest and she saw that Monique's power bleed out of her and into Davina, and suddenly relized that the Harvest was working, and not just a legend as she had previously thought.
For most of her life, her personality and actions was mainly defined by her desire to live a normal teenage life without the magical powers. Davina became untrustful of Marcel, this was because after his plan to take down Klaus failed, and was forced to pledge allegiance to him, along with the rest of the New Orleans vampires who lived through the fight. During this time, Davina had become very close to Camille and Josh, the two people in the city who she felt she could trust. However, when the consequences of not finishing the Harvest began affecting everyone in the city, she eventually regained her trust in Marcel and she had told him that she was glad to have lived the life that she had lived. It was then that Davina accepted her fate as a witch, and realized that dying in order to complete the Harvest was the right thing to do. Davina was suppose to come back to life after the Reaping however, Celeste had secretly possessed Sabine's body, hijacked the energy from the ritual just to bring three other powerful, deceased witches back to life instead of the four girls who had been sacrificed. Therefore this lead everyone to believing that the ritual did not work, and that Davina and the three other Harvest girls was permanently dead. However, Davina was eventually resurrected in the Le Grand Guiignol, after the death of Celeste, and rejoined the New Orleans Coven. Davina continues to help Marcel with her magic.
