Judith was born in a town called Mystic Falls, but soon after her parents decided that they do not want their child to grow up in this town and so they moved to Praia Cape Verde.  Though it was different there with culture and language Judith went to a normal English school and grew up the American way.  Judith has a older brother named Derek, he was different from the rest.  And unlike Judith he did not fit in and adapt to the new life style and the new country.  And that might have been the start of his problems.  Judith always thought her brother loved her and adored her, but she was very wrong about that. 

Judith came home from school one day to find her parents dead and her brother the cause of it.  She tried to reason with him, make him stop what he was about to do.  But he had been turned to a vampire and he switched off his humanity, so talking did nothing to stop him.

Derek attacked Judith, and he also fed on her, and she thought she was going to  die, she hoped she was going to die.   But she blacked out and when she woke up again she was in the hospital, and who was sitting there non other than her mother's brother, Uncle John.  

She had heard stories of their family, but her mother had decided to cut all ties with her family, as she wanted no part in what they stand for.  Judith did not know that untill her uncle told her.  She also learned that he was her guardian, since she was underaged and untill she was done with university.  She did not like the idea of living with him, but before she could express that he explained that he was not fit at looking after her yet so she will be living with her cousin's, Elena and Jeremy Gilbert in Mystic Falls. 

She had stayed a week in hospital healing from her injuries before she went back to her house to pack her stuff, when she entered the house she looked around and remembered what happened and that is when she finally lost it, she started crying.  She sat there on the floor crying for hours before she realised that she has to move in. 

She spent two days getting all her stuff together and sorting out what she was going to leave and what she was going to take with her, she finally got all her stuff together and she and John left for Mystic Falls. 

Judith did not know how it was going to be like there, other culture than what she is used to, different school work and stuff.  And she wondered a lot on the way there if she would be able to cope with it.  She knew she was going to stand out, because she was browner (due to the heat on Cape Verde), her accent was different, she even looked different than your normal American teenager.  But she soon had to set those thoughts aside as they arrived is Mystic Falls. 

Elena and Jeremy was friendly when she came there, and even though they did not know her they told her that she felt like family and the resemblence was there.  Not soon after she arrived she went up to her room and unpacked just wanting to get away from everyone starting at her.  She took a shower and got dressed and went to stand in front of the mirror to comb her hair when her eye caught the scar on her shoulder, she frowned at it and turned away from the mirror and went to sleep. How would she adapt to Mystic Falls is the question on everyones mind.

On the day Rosabella was born, the day she was adopted, it was glorious for some but for Rosabella's mother came the bittersweet day of seeing her baby. Rosabella was given up for adoption and was given to a loving couple. Rosabella's mother was too young herself to look after and maintain the safety that baby Rosabella needed and would keep needing into her adult life and her mother couldnt even fathom how she could look after herself and a baby. Rosabella moved with her adopted family and took on their last name Blackwood.

Rosabella's new adoptive parents moved her to London the capital of England where they lived happily and loved the child the Blackwood's had always wanted. They had no problem's with Rosabella until she turned twelve years old, she what it seemed like to her parents overnight became unbearable. She refused to go to her school and broke her parents stuff, they had no idea why their precious Rosabella would do such a thing. They had hoped it was just a phase that she was going through but it continued and it got so bad that a few days before her 16th birthday they told her to pack up and leave. With the pain in their hearts they watched as she packed and left the house.

Rosabella had nowhere to go and noone to turn to, her parents gave her ten pounds and she had 100 in savings so she had enough for few nights in a hotel. But Rosabella knew she had to find a job so she settled in to her hotel room and went out to look for work the next day. She walked alone and all around town and the only job availble was a modelling job, she needed the money so she accepted the job and started on the same day. A few weeks later she was offered a photography job whilst she wasn't modelling. She took the job and stuck with it and the hotel for two years.

A few days before her eighteenth birthday Rosabella decided to go travelling the world so she could experience culture, follow her passion of photography capturing the true beauty of the world before finding a place and settling down with friends and family. Before Rosabella left she brought a new digital camera to keep her working while she was travelling. Rosabella finds this town called Mystic Falls, will she settle down? She makes quick friends with a few locals but is it enough for her to call it quits on her travelling?!
